Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain name extension is the sole TLD planned for personal websites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At first, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level domains remained running.

Through our firm, you can obtain your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special restrictions on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
